Jacob Weiss – Bare en rar klipper (Just a nice editor)

Was is the meaning behind “Just a nice editor”?

In my perspective it means, that I am good at and care for my craft. Being comfortable to work with both in and out of the editing room. No ego, I am an team player in the creative process, where being a sparring partner and fulfilling the Directors vison is priority number one.

Where do I come from?

I was raised in Fredericia, now living in Odense, and from a young age surrounded by cameras and Old school tape to tape editing because of my Fathers local TV station named Det lille Fjernsyn. In 2012 I started training as a Film and TV Production Technician at Media College Denmark in Viborg and employment at TV 2/Fyn. During my studies and employment, I quickly figured out that the editing room was the place for me. After completing my education in 2016, I have been working as a Freelance editor and editing assistant in feature films, short films, commercials, and corporate films. In 2017 I became a student, at the film editor program, at the film school 18Frames. Furthermore, I have been part of the School board as Vice President until April 2020.

Where Am I?

I am based out of Odense Denmark, that means I am Fyn Spend if you have a production that is financed by Film commission Fyn.

Nice to know!

If you had not already figured out by my sir name, beside Danish and English I am quite fluent the German language.
